Last chance to get into our Fulfilment & Logistics JumpStart event on Thursday!

This is an archived article - we have removed images and other assets but have left the text unchanged for your reference

On the morning of Thursday November 19 (that’s the day after tomorrow) we’ll be holding our second JumpStart event, the ‘rapid procurement format’ that gives you an overview and inflection points to assist in procuring in a given area.

This Thursday’s event is about fulfilment and logistics and — this is what makes it unique and so useful — it’s not just the usual list of competitors trying to best each other. Peculiarly, for this event, we have half-a-dozen leading companies who are frequently found collaborating within the supply chain to provide a coherent service to retail clients. Consequently, Thursday’s JumpStart will be less about ‘difference’ and more of a briefing on how to orchestrate, combine or select from a range of logistics experts.

Because the format is concentrated and compact to deliver maximum benefit with the lowest possible impact on your time, we’ve asked the presenters to tell us in advance a little about what sets them apart, or what distilled learning they can impart. The three questions we set them to ponder were:

  1. What are the key points that retailers should consider before commencing the procurement process for their logistics platform?

  2. What are the key questions that retailers should ask of all shortlisted options

  3. What are the key points you should consider for your first year service review with your service/platform provider?

You can find answers from Docdata, Metapack, Manhattan and Unipart here — and, of course, there’ll be a lot more detail and discussion on the day.

The Fulfilment & Logistics JumpStart event is free to attend for retailers, and there are still a few places left at the time of writing; head over to the registration page now to book your place. All delegates will receive the briefing pack, decks and of course plenty of opportunity to chat and get information.

The event runs from 08:30 to 13:30 and the venue is the Franklin Theatre at 76 Portland Place, a great environment to learn and exchange ideas. Refreshments are of course provided and after the presentations there’ll be a finger buffet and plenty of time for you to quiz the presenters.
