Some of the fastest-growing UK supplement brands including Free Soul, HUX Health and Misfits Health have chosen 1-hour and same-day delivery provider Bodo for a faster, better, greener last mile.

These partnerships have come together within the last five months, an 200% increase for the delivery service provider.

The supplement brands have also seen rapid success. Free Soul has seen triple-digit growth year-on-year and successful international expansion. Meanwhile, Hux raised £1m in an investment round last year with Misfits expanding into functional cereal. They’re now looking to further bolster their growth bringing their customers instant delivery. Bodo’s instant delivery offering boosts brand loyalty, provides customer flexibility and is enabling brand growth by providing them with the opportunity to have tighter control over their brand by removing the reliance on retailers or wholesalers.

Henry Sether, CEO and founder, Misfits Health, said: “At Misfits, our mission is to create indulgent plant-based snacks that everyone can enjoy. Adding Bodo’s eco-friendly instant delivery to our Shopify checkout not only aligns with our brand values but helps us convert more customers and keep them coming back for more thanks to the incredible delivery experience.”

The latest trend sees supplement brands upgrading their online store checkout to 1-hour and same-day eco-friendly delivery thanks to London-based startup Bodo. The supplement brands are using Bodo’s instant delivery solution in three main ways:

  • Supplement brands are acquiring new customers with faster and more convenient delivery options, and turning them into loyal subscribers. According to a report by McKinsey, 46% of customers have abandoned their carts due to slow delivery.
  • Using bodo’s live map order tracking and branded Whatsapp / email communications, brands such as Misfits Health can create a memorable delivery experience which inspires 5-star reviews and retains customers.
  • Brands are also future-proofing their ecommerce checkout by adding sustainable delivery options. The average medium delivery emits 40 plastic bottles worth of CO2, and with 44% of consumers choosing to buy from brands with a clear commitment to sustainability, this is a key initiative for many brands.

The UK supplement market is growing rapidly, with Natural Products Online stating that 47.6% of Brits taking vitamins, minerals or supplements daily in 2022. According to Euromonitor, the ecommerce channel for supplement sales has been growing in Europe at double-digit rates year-on-year for the last five years. Caused by a variety of factors such as Covid-19, an increase in health consciousness and rising customer expectations for faster and better delivery, brands are adapting by upgrading their checkout and delivery options.

“Consumer appetite for direct-to-consumer (D2C) services is growing and we’re thrilled to be working with some of the most innovative, sustainable brands in the wellness sector to meet this growing demand,” said Jack Green, Co-Founder of Bodo.

“We enjoy Bodo being the catalyst that enables these unique brands to achieve their incredible potential and develop a unique rapport with their customers that they couldn’t otherwise through traditional retailers.”
