France’s Casino Group is furthering its collaboration with Amazon by installing new parcel lockers as well as offering its products on the online marketplace.
Amazon will install its Lockers in 1000 Casino Group stores, including the likes of Monoprix, Spar and Casino stores. The lockers, which allow customers to collect online orders, will be operational by the end of the year.
In addition, Casino will sell its branded products on Amazon’s sites. This will include its daily, premium, organic and wine ranges.
Finally, Casino subsidiary Monoprix’s existing partnership with Amazon Prime will be available to customers in new cities over the next 12 months.
Jean-Charles Naouri, CEO of Group Casino, said: “With this new partnership, we will be able to offer the greatest number of customers the best products and services whenever and wherever they wish.
“This announcement represents a new step in strengthening Casino’s omnichannel strategy to always be a little more in the heart of consumers’ lives.”
The retailer and the marketplace first began their collaboration in March 2018, with Amazon’s Prime Now application beginning to offer Monoprix products in Paris and the surrounding area.
