Europe’s leading designer outlet developer, owner and operator McArthurGlen is offering customers a tailor-made user experience when accessing the group’s sites through mobile technology with dedicated mobile sites for each of its seven UK outlets.

Designed and built by Manchester digital agency Code Computerlove. The agency is also working on three more mobile sites for new client nmsi, including mobile web optimised solutions for the Science Museum, the National Railway Museum and the National Media Museum. These sites will launch later this month.

Head of mobile at Code Computerlove, Ste Brennan said: “While many think the app is the holy grail in terms of embracing the potential of smartphone technology, it’s actually imperative that brands get their mobile sites sorted as a primary platform for mobile interaction.

“Clients that we’ve already developed mobile sites for are reporting increases in conversion, where delivering a mobile experience for mobile users maximizes this traffic. First TransPennine Express saw traffic to the mobile site accounting for as much as 8.4% of overall traffic within a couple of weeks of launch.

“The McArthurGlen group has been witnessing a daily rise in shoppers viewing its sites through Smartphones. Visitors to each of its new mobile sites, for example Cheshire Oaks near Chester http://m.cheshireoaksdesigneroutlet.com/ can see latest offers within individual stores at the outlet village, view an easy to read brand directory, read the latest news and get outlet information including directors and travel details. The mobile site also encourages visitors to sign up to its Twitter and Facebook accounts as an additional way to keep in touch.”
