Missguided debuts label-free instant returns service with InPost

DeliveryX

Fashion retailer Missguided is partnering with InPost to allow its customers to send back a parcel using only a QR code scanned at a locker in a process it says takes 10 seconds to complete.

Customers use the Instant Returns service from InPost by going to the retailer’s online returns portal to book a return and generating a QR code. That code is then scanned at the nearest InPost self-service locker, the customer puts the item in the locker and collects a digital receipt is available upon request.

The items are then picked up by the courier who then add their own label for tracking and the parcel returned to the retailer.

Research commissioned by InPost, based on a survey of over 2,000 online shoppers, reveals that nearly half (44%) of digitally native Gen Z and millennials don’t have access to a printer and that two-thirds (66%) would rather use a code that can be scanned on their phone than put a physical label on their parcel.

Nick Bamber, chief growth officer at Missguided said: “Keeping things super simple and convenient for our shoppers is more important than ever, especially given how much of their shopping experience is already on their mobiles. Having the option to send returns back within seconds, using just a phone, is exactly the type of innovation that will appeal to our customer base.”
