Marks & Spencer is bringing fashion bloggers on board with the launch of a new online advice hub.

Bloggers Muireann Carey-Campbell, of, Amanda Carr, of, Kate Sutton of, Gemma Cartwright, of, and Harriet Thorn, of, all offer their advice on how women of different shapes can choose the clothes that best suit them on M&S’ new bodyshapes advice hub.

M&S says that more than 10,000 people search online for advice around body shapes each month, according to Google Adwords Data, and it “hopes the hub will give women the confidence they need to make an informed decision when choosing dresses for their body shape.”

The hub also offers a free buyers guide with advice from its assistant dresses buyer, Barbara Bobadilla, as well as a video and styling tips page.

Our view: We thought this story was interesting because of what it says about the relationship of bloggers with the retail establishment. You don’t get much more establishment than M&S and its work with bloggers is a useful reflection of the fact that many retailers are now taking them very seriously.

Evidently for M&S this is an important way of connecting with their audience, and giving their customers insights into how trends are being interpreted by real fashion-conscious people.
