UK retailer N Brown has invested in a new photography technology that will help it quickly launch product imagery online.

The new studio at the retailer’s head office in Manchester will feature five photo booths using Hyphen Interactive Live Photo, which can be used to quickly take stills and videos and convert them to a format suitable for online publishing.

The project aims to enhance the user experience on N Brown sites with more appealing visuals with a faster turnaround time.

Ralph Tucker, chief product and supply officer at N Brown said: “This is an exciting step forward in our ecommerce capabilities, pushing N Brown to the forefront of UK online retailing.

“We now have the ability to offer products to our customers quicker than ever before and can provide improved visuals with 360 and HILP motion product assets to further improve our customers’ experience.”

The announcement comes after N Brown, which owns companies such as Simply Be and JD Williams, announced its Q3 financial results. Digital sales now account for 78.5% of its product revenue, up from 71.0% for the same period last year.

The company’s CEO Steve Johnson said the company was continuing to “manage the anticipated decline of [its] legacy offline business”  and its “transformation into a digital retailer.”
