In 2016, Appleton held the position of CFO at Hotter Shoes, joining from where he held the same position.

In a statement, the company said: “The board would like to express their gratitude to Rachel Izzard for her work with Steve Johnson, group chief executive officer, and the board to ensure an orderly handover period to Dominic.”

The appointment of Dominic Appleton to the board remains subject to FCA approval.
