MetaPack has a new general manager, following the acquisition of the company in July by Stamps.com.
John Clem, chief product and strategy officer at Stamps.com, will also act as general manager of MetaPack with immediate effect. He takes on the responsibilities of the company’s executive chairman Steve Rowley who is leaving the business.
Clem has been on the senior management team at Stamps.com for fifteen years and in his current role since 2012. Before that he was vice president, product and service operations for six years. He will move from Stamps.com Californian headquarters to MetaPack’s London offices.
Ken McBride, chairman and CEO, Stamps.com, said: “John has been a very important element in the growth of Stamps.com, not least because of his deep understanding of eCommerce delivery. He has designed many of our new shipping features over the last five years, and they have been instrumental in Stamps.com’s success in the U.S. market. We now fully expect John to bring that expertise to his management of MetaPack, working together with founder Patrick Wall and with the executive team to fulfil our ambitious plans for the future.”
