In January, delegates from 6,200 retail and ecommerce brands from around the globe will head to New York City for three days of learning, collaboration and discovery. Amongst the delegation are Ian Jindal, editor-in-chief of InternetRetailing, and retail & ecommerce specialist Michel Koch.
“With 45,000 retailers, thousands of industry service suppliers, the lights of New York and a herd-instinct to network and exchange ideas, NRF’s BigShow is a week-long festival of retailing ideas, conversations and stimulus (at least 72 hours of which pass without sleep),” said Jindal.
“It’s a time to recharge the batteries and the brain and it sets up the energy levels for 2025. My own favourites include the Innovation Lab area, the backstage chats in the press room, store visits and the myriad networking events. It’s time to charge the social batteries, polish up the comfy shoes and admire the heated sidewalks around the Javitts Centre”
Upon their return, Jindal and Koch – alongside some special guests – will sit down to provide a rundown of NRF 2025 and an on-the-ground summary of the event for both retailers and suppliers alike.
Jindal explained: “How to condense a week’s retail festival into 45 minutes? Firstly, get some help! Michel and I split the workload to cover the halls, speeches, innovations and – yes – parties. We also visit the stores that should be on the radar of European retailers and sift out the “seen it before” from the “I can’t believe my eyes!”.
“All delivered in a rapid 45 minutes – join live so you can ask questions, or catch up when convenient. Either way you’ll get the briefing doc and of course you can check out the store long-list here (https://retailx.net/newyork/nrf2025/) if you want to draw up your own Top11!”
