Online grocer Ocado will widen the area it serves to the South West and Wales from next year, the BBC has reported.
The company is expected to make deliveries to 1.5m households in Bristol, Bath and Cardiff from a distribution centre near Bristol, starting in March 2011.
The move will create an extra 100 jobs, and comes months after the company listed on the London Stock Exchange, setting out its intention to raise money for expansion, including opening a new distribution centre, increasing the size of its existing one, and expanding its delivery network.
Earlier this month Ocado announced it was to open a new distribution centre in North Warwickshire, with the potential for its to double the size of its capacity. That centre will open in late 2012, creating more than 2,000 new jobs.
