Ocado, Marie Claire, and international trade: UK retail looks optimistic

In today’s Internet Retailing newsletter we report as Ocado unveils its first pre-tax profit, and also says it will work with Marie Claire to launch the magazine’s first transactional website. We have an interview with Justin Lodge, of Wiggle, as he prepares to speak at IRX 2015.

It seems the UK’s retailers are even more confident in 2015 about trading overseas. A Royal Mail study says just that. Those traders have good reason to be optimistic, according to Google and BRC figures that show growing interest – as measured by searches – from international markets in UK retailers.

Finally, we report on new technology that will allow shoppers to test make up using their phone, rather than a cosmetics counter.
