Online downloads of classical and sheet music drive 25% growth at Presto Music

Presto Music, a leading global ecommerce site for classical recordings, sheet music and music books, is reporting a 25% year-on-year growth in sales during April-September, 2020 –  with overall sales growth of 63% in the past six-months.

Founded in 1986 as a small high street shop in Leamington Spa, Presto Music provides the broadest range of classical recordings (CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays and Downloads), sheet music and music books available online. The site and the reviews and recommendations has become one of the most well respected classical music authorities in the world.

Chris O’Reilly, CEO of Presto Music, comments: “Lockdown has seen customer demand for classical and sheet music explode. Alongside the growth in downloads, CD sales still account for 50% of our revenue due to the richer information, booklets and high quality sound”

He adds: “Our commitment to exceptional customer service and fast delivery combined with thousands of hours of carefully curated content and editorial have produced a dedicated and loyal customer fanbase.’’
