Vente-privée opts for new studio management system
has put a new studio management system in place as it looks to make its product photography more efficient. The France-headquartered private members site, which has operated its UK site since 2008, says it expects to increase online sales as a result.
Vente-privée is now using SpinMe
’s system in three of its studios, including its first New York studio, and is currently completing testing on its hardware and software in four more.
The new system automates the photographic process for the etailer, which trades across eight European countries and has 15m members worldwide, with 2.5m unique daily visitors.
“Before appointing SpinMe we were using a photographer for our online imaging needs,” said Frederic Nguyen, project director at Vente privee. “Taking photos of products in this way was a slow, laborious process and depending on the photographer’s position and camera angle, could result in irregular quality.
“SpinMe’s technology has made the process more efficient, less costly and has resulted in consistently high-quality images. This is set to boost sales as customers will be able to see products online more quickly.”
SpinMe will also continue to develop bespoke features for Vente-Privee on an ongoing basis.
David Brint, sales and marketing director at SpinMe, said the move wuld enable it to shoot its product catalogue more efficiently. “Due to the large volume of products that need to be photographed, we are making software changes to allow a much faster output of images.” He said.
SpinMe’s customers also include Selfridges, Halfords, Wiggle and Schuh.
