Whistl subsidiary Parcelhub has introduced a new type of label for retailers, designed to simplify picking and packing of orders.
Integrated Labels will allow picking sheets, packing slips and shipping labels on a single piece of paper. This will mean orders can be processed more quickly, allowing online retailers to commit to packing orders later in the day and offer later same-day order cut-off times.
Parcelhub said that the introduction of the new type of label was part of a wider strategy to handle and process more complex data but present it in a simple and user-friendly way.
David added: “We are very proud to release the Integrated Label feature. It has been in the works for some time, and I believe it is a tool that will prove pivotal in making our customers’ packing process sleeker and more efficient.
“We know through experience and talking to our customers that label production and order packing are common bottlenecks in the eCommerce sphere. So much so that they can stunt business growth, preventing companies from branching out into new marketplaces or product lines.
“The potential for time and labour savings with Integrated Labels is massive and directly tackles this bottleneck. Used with Parcelhub’s existing integrations, this tool will be invaluable in empowering businesses to with increased scalability, facilitating growth.
“The really exciting thing about Integrated Labels is that it will increase packing speed and accuracy whilst reducing labour costs; it’s a double whammy. It’s not often that we see such a powerful tool being released to users free of charge.”
Whistl acquired UK-based Parcelhub in June last year. The company launched in 2010 to provide multi-carrier shipping and ecommerce customer service to small and medium-sized online retailers.
