Party Delights has launched a German website as it moves into the European market for the first time.

Delights.de is the first of a number of European sites that the Manchester-based online retailer plans to launch in coming months. It is translated into German and offers a range of 15,000 products, from party supplies to presents and fancy dress and including many stocked specifically for the German market, for sale in euros. Payment methods include options favoured by local shoppers, such as direct from bank transfer.

Party Delights has also taken on a team of German-speaking customer service staff in the UK to cater for its new international customers.

“We are delighted to launch our first dedicated European website,” said sales director Steve Graham. “This has been a large project for us both in terms of logistics and technology and we are very confident that the site will give German users a great shopping experience.”

Party Delights was founded in 2001 by Allison Graham. Graham, now managing director, set up the company in her garage following frustration at being unable to source a range of Spiderman themed party accessories for her son’s party. It has achieved double digit sales growth every year since then and is on track to turn over £14.6m in its current financial year. It recently won the licence to print One Direction cards, invitations, banners and party ware.
