Prizes galore at the InternetRetailing eCommerce Birthday Party and Awards
With the inaugural InternetRetailing eCommerce Birthday Party being held on the Cannon Bridge Roof Gardens tomorrow evening (18 July, 2012) the biggest prize the heavens can offer us is a break in the weather. Not that we’re wimps of course – the Party goes on even in sideways rain (thanks to the massive marquee and other preparations) – but a break in the cloud would make proceedings more pleasant.
Our sponsors and friends, however, have stepped up their contribution and tomorrow’s going to be an evening of prizes…
- Dressipi are offering your Perfect Party Dress
- Demandware have some amazing Stella McCartney for Adidas gear
- Amplience have a crate of champagne for the quippers and captioners amongst you
- Our very own Mark Pigou, Director at InternetRetailing, has raided his cellar for a few magnums of ‘quizz-fizz’
- The Croquet Challenge Cup will also be metaphorically filled with fizz, as will random prizes from the circus school…
To details!
Dressipi: “Perfect For You” Party Dress
To get into the fashionable spirit of our big birthday bash, Dressipi is offering you, (or your girlfriend, wife, partner, friend) the chance to win your perfect party dress (up to the value of £150). Dressipi is a free online styling site that takes the hassle out of shopping thanks to its curated, handpicked fashion recommendations individually tailored just for you. To stand a chance of winning sign up (or get your girlfriend, wife, partner, friend to do so) to Dressipi before our big bash next Wednesday. Remember that Dressipi has already given us some tips on what to wear for Wednesday’s event, and for the men we have sage style insights from Mr Porter.
Demandware: Stella McCartney for Adidas
Demandware, the leading on-demand ecommerce solutions provider, is one of our Sponsors and has contributed to the judging and development of the evening’s activities. In conversation we realised that Demandware’s on-demand platform powers the ecommerce sites of Adidas, Stella McCartney and the London Olympics’ shop. Given those ingredients it was only one latte’s brainstorming away from a cool prize – some “Stella for Adidas” Olympic gear!
With the corporate card smouldering Demandware have sourced a range of prizes that could be YOURS simply by following the Demandware twitter account (@demandware). There are six prizes but to ensure that you stand out from the general followers, tweet at them using the event hashtag #irbpa just to ensure that you’re noticed. Demandware’s Global CEO, Tom Ebling, will be with us on the evening and will hand out the prizes.
What if you already follow @demandware? No worries, just (re)tweet them with #irbpa and you’re in the game!
Thanks to Demandware for being so sporting – it’s the closest many of us will come to Stella and the Olympics 😉
Amplience: napkin-ring prize
How can one have a civilised finger buffet without napkins? Heaven forfend that grease and crumbs might transfer themselves to our champagne flutes, leave our clothes dishevelled or – gasp – compromise the grip on the croquet mallets or juggling balls!
Step in our friends at Amplience who not only seem to have napkins to hand (!) but also a neat competition to go with them. There’s a photo printed inside the napkin bands and the person devising the best caption will win a crate of champagne. Thanks to Max and the team for dreaming this up.
Of course, you won’t want to strain your brains on the night, so have a sneak preview here and then pretend that your wit is spontaneous: http://amplience.com/IRBA/
Competition open until Friday 20th at 4pm (and if your company policy prohibits your receiving alcohol there’s an option for a charitable donation instead).
Quiz on the giant iTabs
Touch2view, one of our supporters, is providing their ‘iTab’ touchscreens for the evening (think of a 6-foot iPad and you get the rough picture). In addition to being pretty wonderful to look at, in between games, croquet scores and Awards videos, the screens have an eCommerce quiz… None of us at Etail Towers have scored full marks as yet (sigh) but I’m sure that our guests will have better knowledge. On the night one successful quizzler will have their knowledge rewarded with a magnum of champagne, and there will also be prizes for the best jugglers, the Croquet Challenge Cup and any other reasons we can invent on the night!
A big thanks again to Dressipi, Demandware, Amplience and the office petty cash tin for these fun prizes. Keep up with proceedings, who’s there and doing what, via @etail and #irbpa
