Footasylum introduces delayed payments in UK

Linked InTwitterFacebookeCard

Footasylum is allowing UK customers to delay paying for goods online through a new partnership.

Working with New Zealand company Laybuy, the retailer will let customers spread the cost of a purchase over six separate payments including one at the point of sale.

The option is available from the retailer’s online store from today and will be introduced into high street stores later this year.

The solution aims to help retailers attract customers without having to heavily discount products.

Clare Nesbitt, CEO at Footasylum, said: “Laybuy’s proposition represents a unique offering for our customer base. We believe that by providing customers with a means of paying for our products over time as part of their weekly budgeting, this partnership will be a positive step forward for us.”

Footasylum is a member of InternetRetailing’s IREU and IRUK indexes. Between Q4 2018 and 2019, it saw online sales grow 28% to reach £36 million.
