Primark will launch its second independent homewares store this summer at Manchester’s Trafford Centre.
Spanning two floors and 11,900sq ft, the store is designed to offer Primark’s core homeware range, featuring bedding, towels, ceramics, and small furniture, alongside the brand’s new premium Edit collection.
A dedicated travel section will also be included, showcasing suitcases and other travel necessities.
It follows the debut of Primark Home in Belfast, Northern Ireland in March, marking the retailer’s first standalone homewares location.
“Our mission is simple: to make it easy for everyone to create a home they love, without breaking the bank,” said Paul Baldwin, Primark trading director for home.
“Customer reaction to our first Primark Home store in Belfast has been really positive, and we can’t wait to bring this exciting new concept to Great Britain later this summer.
“Homes have become more than just places to live, they’re an extension of our personalities, so whether it’s soft furnishings, statement tableware, or smart storage solutions you’re after, our range has something for every style and budget.”
The InternetRetailing Global Homeware 2025 report looks at the steady growth of the homeware sector, and stated that one sign that the homeware sector is poised for further growth is the interest from other retail sectors.
A host of fashion brands have invested heavily in their homeware offerings. The likes of H&M and Zara now have standalone homeware boutiques.
Dedicated homeware retailers are also investing in their store portfolio and ecommerce technology. Danish retailer Søstrene Grene opened 60 new stores globally in 2024, as it looks to reach a network of 500 shops by 2027. While American marketplace Wayfair is investing in personalised product recommendations and expanding its product range.
