Prostate Cancer UK has chosen SDL – the now parent company of bemoko – to help connect with supports and donors when they are on the move. The Sledgehammer initiative is a hard hitting campaign kicked off by UK comedian Bill Bailey and aims to increase awareness of prostate cancer and raise funds for research.

“Mobile is becoming a bigger part of people’s lives every day, and it’s a very important channel to us,” says Sadie Crabtree, digital manager at Prostrate Cancer UK. “Thanks to SDL Mobile, we can catch people right at the moment they see our adverts and give them an easy way to get involved and help increase survival rates for men throughout the UK.”

SDL fully optimized Prostate Cancer UK’s highest traffic web content in under one week, ensuring supporters and fundraisers were able to get information or support the charity at any time, whether accessing the website from either a PC, mobile or tablet device.

“This is an enormous opportunity for charities to grab people’s attention and maximize the donation potential,” says Phillip Clement, Director, Sales and Marketing for SDL Content Management Technologies division. “We are truly excited to see a joined up campaign of television advertising and mobile website working in synergy to help promote the Sledgehammer Campaign.”
