In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, we report on retailers as diverse as eBay, Lakeland and Charlotte Tilbury Beauty as they invest in improving their online performance, both at home and in international markets. It’s this kind of investment that has so paid off for Shop Direct, today announcing 512% growth in pre-tax profits – and promising more investment to reach its potential.

We also report on different ways in which constantly-evolving digital retailers might now look to evolve in future. We have news from technology provider Samsung, which urges traders to look at ways of engaging digital natives, and we cover a new study from L2 and Demandware, which debates how retail brands can make powerful use of content to engage shoppers. Research from the BRC and Google also shows how shoppers searched for retail in a rising mortgage market this summer.
