Sainsbury’s extends Deliveroo partnership

Sainsbury’s has extended its partnership with Deliveroo, adding a further 65 stores across the UK and taking the total on the platform to 336.
New locations include Winchester, Marlow, Barking, Loughborough, Watford and Lancaster. The service allows customers to have Sainsbury’s products delivered to customers by Deliveroo in as little as 20 minutes.

The two companies have partnered since 2020 and more than 1,500 Sainsbury’s products are now available for delivery on-demand, with the most popular items including fruit, vegetables and dairy, plus a whole range of treats and snacks.

Matthew Roberts, director of channel strategy at Sainsbury’s, said: “With more and more shoppers looking for convenient and affordable food and grocery products from Sainsbury’s delivered to their doors, we’re pleased to be expanding our partnership with Deliveroo to even more locations, helping to make it as quick and easy as possible for our customers to shop with us.”

Carlo Mocci, chief business officer UK&I, Deliveroo, said: “We’re able to offer Sainsbury’s customers a huge amount of choice and great convenience, with over 1,500 items ready to be delivered to your door within minutes. As people continue to change the way they shop, including on-demand grocery delivery as part of their regular shop, we’re pleased to be bringing this choice to even more households across the UK.”
