We have stories of growth and innovation in today’s InternetRetailing newsletter. Today we report on how online sales are growing both for fashion retailer Ted Baker, and more widely across the UK’s ecommerce and multichannel industry. Perhaps that general rise is thanks to UK retailers’ attitude to innovation as they seek to set themselves apart from the competition. We’ve seen two good examples of that innovation in action this week, as QVC launches its first shoppable pop video, and as Waitrose takes self-scan to a mobile app.

Innovation is also the focus for today’s IRX 2016 preview, in which we talk to Kim Ludlow of mySupermarket on approaches to omnichannel merchandising, while today’s guest comment, from Rakhee Jogia of Rakuten Marketing, considers the retail opportunities offered by a future Apple iRing.
