Superdrug and Savers offers employees flexible pay

Retailers Superdrug and Savers have offered its employees the option to be paid early to help cope with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

The high street retailers have partnered with fintech firm Wagestream, which allows them track their shifts and earnings in real time, help with budgeting and and give them the power to choose when to get paid with its flexible pay feature.

This comes as supermarket giant Asda also announced it is allowing 140,000 staff members to access 50% of their salary before pay day.

A raft of other staff supporting initiatives have also been launched by the retailers including building on existing staff discounts, offering employees 40% off Superdrug own brand and exclusive products, plus 20% off branded products four times a year, on top of the always on staff discount of 30% and 10%.

Other initiatives via Superdrug’s Benefit Hub, which includes 50% off Superdrug mobile sim plans, other discounts to help with the weekly shop or for fun days out with the family.

Team members will also benefit from a 30% discount with Superdrug’s Health Clinics.

The health and beauty retailer also revealed a new Digicare App, hosted by Aviva will also launch before the summer, giving team members access to free digital GP, mental health and nutritional consultations, alongside second medical opinions and an annual health check.
