The Perfume Shop has reported a 10% jump in sales for the run up to Father’s Day, with a record 248,142 bottles sold over the two weeks in the run up to the 15 June 2025.
Customers also embraced both instore and online shopping, with 69% of sales happening in physical stores (+9% YoY) and 31% online (+13% YoY). Combined, this drove 10% uplift in total sales during the two weeks leading up to Father’s Day compared to the same period in 2024.
Buyers were also willing to spend more, with the average customer spend rising to £66.99, up 2% compared to last year.
Regional performance also told a strong story, with Northern Ireland seeing the highest uplift in sales at +12.6%, closely followed by Scotland with +11.2%, highlighting the growing demand for perfume across the UK.
Andrea Rickard, The Perfume Shop’s trading director, commented: “Perfume remains a timeless gift for Father’s Day, and 2025 was no exception. We saw a strong mix of customer favourites making the top seller list, from iconic heritage scents to exciting new launches that really resonated with shoppers this year.
“We’ve also seen a growing number of consumers opting to make their gifts even more meaningful through our engraving and personalised ribbon services. These small touches go a long way in turning a great gift into something truly special and unique.
“At The Perfume Shop, we’re proud to offer expert advice both in store and online to help our customers choose the perfect scent. Tools like our ‘Fragrance Finder’ continue to be a go-to for shoppers who want guidance or inspiration when browsing for the perfect gift. We also introduced a number of exclusive offers and great value bundles this year, which many shoppers took advantage of to treat their father figures, or themselves.”
