How retailers are targeting cross-channel growth

In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, we’re reporting as Notonthehighstreet.com unveils new investment that will help it to expand, and as Joules hires as part of its growth strategy.

Both are looking to grow their businesses online, and both are targeting international sales as part of their strategies. But interest in selling overseas goes both ways: figures from Bronto Software today suggest that 80% of UK online shoppers are now willing to look overseas in search of new products – and cheaper prices.

We’ve looked to our IRUK Top500 research to find more suggestions for useful steps that retailers can take as they look to grow their businesses. We think our feature 12 steps to mobile commerce is essential reading at a time when this channel is growing so quickly. We also investigate the opportunities of third-party online advertising in an interview with Henry Eccles of Google.
