E-commerce software vendor Tiger Commerce is claiming bragging rights to being the first UK e-commerce platform to launch an iPhone app to complement its browser-based online shop software. The tool will allow merchants with e-commerce offerings to track how the site is performing without having to log on at a computer.

The company’s free mCommerce app allows order tracking and on-the-move updates, allowing shop owners to stay in touch with new orders and new customer registrations, as well as historical shop data – without needing to access a laptop or computer. Tiger Commerce clients can also use mCommerce to log into their shop’s Google Analytics account for up to date analysis on shop visitor data.

“Conducting business over the internet is a 24/7 proposition, so it’s vital that e-tailers are always able to respond to new orders coming into the business, whether they happen to be in their office or not,” explains Neil Smith, e-commerce Director at GForces, the company behind Tiger Commerce. “mCommerce is designed to allow people to do just that. They will now have better access to their customers and to what’s going on with their online shops.”

The new, free-to-download Tiger Commerce app, mCommerce, is available now at the Apple App Store.
