In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter, we take a look at the transformation that’s going on all around us in the industry. From Thomas Cook’s transformation that’s reshaping the travel company as an omnichannel operator to Asos‘ fast recovery from fire earlier this year, ecommerce and multichannel retailers are nothing if not flexible and responsive to the way customers want to shop. Today we also report on how N Brown Group is adapting to those customer demands by moving from pureplay to a company that as of tomorrow will have an Oxford Street flagship store, and MySale Group after a year of extraordinary expansion and change.
The changes these retailers are responding to is reflected in figures out this week from both the IMRG, showing fast online sales growth, and the BRC, showing customers visiting the high street less often, but spending more.
Finally, we take a look at how this year’s Internet Retailing Conference focuses on just this kind of change, taking refoundationing as its theme.
