A UK technology company is set to see its Buy It Now ecommerce solution go live on Unilever’s Brazil website, its eighth territory with the brand-owning giant.
Using E-Tale’s software, visitors to Unilever’s Brazilian website will be able to buy all the products that are showcased through selected online retailers. Brands that will use the system include Dove.
E-Tale’s Lead Referral (Buy it Now) technology indexes the web for all retailers that list each product, allowing brands to choose the retailers they want to direct their customers towards.
Bradley Keenan, founder and chief executive of Essex-based E-Tale, said: “Brazil is one of the world’s fastest growing ecommerce economies and we are incredibly excited to be working with Unilever to help to capitalise on the ecommerce opportunity.
“In 2012 Brazil saw a 32% increase in online shoppers, with the number of people purchasing online growing 10.3 million to 42.2 million in total. Analyst data predicts total sales online will grow 18% year on year reaching $22bn by 2016.
“Brands and retailers are facing increasing threats from an ever expanding web of information about their products, from social media to less reputable sources of online commerce. Our mission is to develop world leading technology that helps connect brands and the retailers they trust to cater for the connected consumer.”
E-Tale was founded in 2009. Its customers also include Samsung, Unilever, LG and Nintendo.
