Vente-Privee reports 22% UK sales growth

Vente-Privee has reported UK turnover 22% up in 2013 compared to the previous year.

The private member sales company ran 973 discount sales in the UK during the course of the year, and says this country is its biggest market for m-commerce. Some 37% of turnover and 41% of visits originate from mobile devices.

The update came as the French company reported turnover of €1.6bn (£1.3bn) in 2013, some 23% up on the previous year. During the course of the year it sold 70m products through 10,100 sales, 65% more than at the same time last year. Mobile commerce accounted for 35% of revenue.

Vente-Privee now has 20m members in eight European countries, while in the US, turnover rose by 100% to $50m.
