Vouchercloud has launched into its fourth European market. The voucher code business, which started life in the the UK in 2010, has launched into Germany. The move follows growth into Malta and Ireland in 2012 and the Netherlands earlier this year.

So far consumers have downloaded more than 3.6m coupons from vouchercloud, which says they have saved more than €50m on activities as a result.

The German launch also features a mobile couponing app that enables shoppers to redeem coupons on goods from brands such as Barilla, Danone and Granini at EDEKA and HIT supermarkets, removing the need to ‘cut and clip’.

Greg Le Tocq, of vouchercloud UK said: “We’re delighted vouchercloud has been received so well in Germany. The further we expand the more we realise that consumer attitudes to savings is much the same, no matter where they live. Spending habits alter but the fundamentals remain the same – shoppers want to save money on the things they love in an easy to access format.”
