Website investment spurs ecommerce growth at Moss Bros

Moss Bros sees rise in ecommerce and mobile sales

Moss Bros today said that retail ecommerce sales grew by 7.7%, and total ecommerce sales by 9% in the first half of its financial year, following investment in its hire and retail websites. The company said more visitors opted to buy, spending more when they did so, and that online sales now represented 10.3% of total group revenue. Some 25% of online sales are now made online. Revenue from online suit hire also grew by 39%, compared to the same time last year.

“Improvements in customer conversion and higher average transaction values have underpinned the ecommerce performance which also now benefits from a fully responsive website, enabling us to more effectively serve those customers reaching us via mobile devices,” said chief executive Brian Brick.

New systems and processes continue to be developed, as part of the wider Moss Bros multichannel strategy.

The company also said it was pleased with customer response to its personalised Tailor Me service, which simplifies the bespoke service to offer a custom-fit suit within 30 days of ordering.
