Delivery management company Whistl has opened a new Bolton super depot which is based on the Logistics North development by Junction 4 of the M61.
The new site, which the company began moving into in April, will see the creation of 500 jobs at the site and is a consolidation of previous operations from Leeds and Warrington onto one site that has 33% greater capacity for future expansion of Whistl’s existing mail, packet and parcel and ecommerce business.
The building has 4 level access doors, 20 dock levellers, 50 trailer parking spaces, 31 loading positions and 222 car parking spaces.
Nick Wells, CEO Whistl, said: ““The opening of Bolton is a significant development for us at Whistl as we continue to invest in the business to provide clients with the highest quality and most efficient service.”
The development already includes the likes of Aldi, Lidl and MBDA.
