Wickes signs new ship from store delivery contract with CitySprint

Home improvement giant Wickes has signed a new, three-year delivery contract with CitySprint, extending a partnership which first began in 2016.
The company will provide single and two-person local delivery services of stock held in more than 200 Wickes stores in the UK, delivered in pre-advised delivery windows to customers and tradespeople.

Lisa Goward, head of customer fulfilment at Wickes, said the new contract followed a testing time for home improvement delivery as demand for delivery of home improvement products, to both individual’s homes and to sites where tradespeople have been working, has soared during the last pandemic.

“2020 was a year that tested our partnership’s agility and strength to the maximum,” she said. “Over the past 12 months, CitySprint provided us with invaluable delivery support — responding rapidly to the changing demands brought about by the pandemic.”

Darren Taylor, business solutions director at CitySprint, said: “2020 was an extremely busy year for essential retailers and the expansion of our partnership with Wickes reflects the success of our collaboration over the last year.”
