Wincanton and Sorted partner to help retailers improve delivery options

Wincanton and Sorted are partnering to strengthen their reach into the retail market by integrating Wincanton’s efulfillment service with Sorted’s carrier management platform SortedPro. The SaaS service integrates existing warehouse management systems allowing users to organise carrier allocation and manage performance from one dashboard.
Paul Durkin, director for home and ecommerce at Wincanton, said the new partnership would help retailers improve customer service levels and increase the range of delivery options they can offer to customers. “Our new partnership with Sorted helps Wincanton’s retail customers to respond to this challenge. By integrating Wincanton’s eFulfilment service with Sorted’s carrier management platform, we’re able to help retailers expand consumer choice when it comes to delivery, whether it be time-specific delivery, nominated day or click + collect. And we can offer greater visibility of their purchases from the moment they buy them,” he said.

David Grimes, founder and CEO, of Sorted, said that delivery choices were critical and that consumers expect speed, convenience and transparency as standard when it comes to delivery. “Competitive advantage can be won or lost on a retailer’s ability to put the customer in control of crafting and defining what perfect delivery looks like to them on that buying occasion – and this means offering a wider range of the best available delivery options, at different pricing bandings, and trackability at each stage,” he said.
