Zalando has extended its logistics contract for the Nordic region to 2021 with PostNord. The company is the sole supplier of logistics to Zalando in the region.
The contract includes linehaul, i.e. transportation from Zalando warehouses to PostNord terminals, and distribution from terminals to end-customer. The company is also piloting free pick-up of returns within one hour at a location of the end-customer’s choice of delivery with Zalando in Stockholm. The service is one of a number of trials the retailer is doing with different suppliers to improve delivery and returns options for customers.
“Our customers are central to our business, and frictionless delivery and returns services are part of our offering to them,” said Kenneth Melchior, general manager Northern Europe, Zalando SE.
“We are delighted that Zalando has chosen to extend our relationship,” said Håkan Ericsson, PostNord president and group CEO.
Zalando has been working with PostNord since it entered the Nordic region in 2010. The extended contract will run until July 31st, 2021.
