Ecommerce technology companies 10CMS and FusePump have struck a strategic partnership to create a solution they say will help retailers show their products in the best light ahead of the Christmas rush.
The two companies say the solution, which can be used by marketing and merchandising staff without technical expertise, will help retailers merchandise their goods more effectively.
10CMS brings its media platform for online merchandisers and FusePump its FeedCreator platform, currently used by partners including affiliate networks, digital agencies and publishers, to the deal. By combining the two, they promise merchants the power to create their own product data feeds and use them to present their goods online through a variety of channels, from web to social media and mobile phones, and through rich media and other merchandising technologies.
James Brooke, chief executive at 10CMS, said: “Many online retailers do not have their own product data feeds, simply because they are so time-consuming and difficult to create. They will have catalogues and ecommerce capabilities but without a product data feed it is practically impossible to create and deploy the kind of merchandising media that is now vital to delivering a compelling retail brand experience online, whilst driving online conversions.”
