New order distribution technology claims to improve on-time delivery

DeliveryX

Delivery logistics platform Bringg has announced Auto-Dispatch – a new module for its platform that will allow retail and restaurant chains to automatically distribute orders to their drivers in real time.
The technology automatically provides each driver with as many orders as possible for a certain area, while making sure that all orders leave the location early enough to ensure that they reach the customer on time. It means a human dispatcher isn’t needed and the potential for human error is removed, claims the company.

The system also batches orders and schedules so as well as letting drivers know when they need to leave for an on-time delivery it also lets them know what orders are waiting upon their return.

The system has already been tested, during which time the company claims it improved on-time delivery rates by 58% and decreased dispatcher workloads by up to 70% under normal load so that they became available to handle other on-site tasks.

Lior Sion, Co-Founder and CTO of Bringg, said: “This new technology is a game-changer for businesses such as restaurants, that work with the tightest delivery deadlines and that are continuously looking for way to improve the on-time delivery rates while fostering a more transparent delivery environment.” Lior added, “We’ve already started piloting this technology with key clients who have seen a drastic improvement in driver performance and punctuality. In addition, Auto-Dispatch provides a fully automated process which eliminates the need to have on-site staff manually assign orders to drivers.”
