Tapping into the ecommerce boom in the UK post-lockdown, Singapore-based shopping app has launched here, to tempt shoppers with its zero-mark-up pricing model that has proved highly successful in Asia.
The app, available on iOS and Android and which has become a top-five retail app in the Android store this year, allows users to only pay for the production costs only of garments as set by the manufacturer. It aims to save shoppers by cutting out them having to pay for distribution, marketing and mark-up costs.
Currently, the app is connected to more than 100,000 manufacturers worldwide, allowing shoppers to buy clothes and lifestyle products direct.
Commenting on the launch, a Wholee spokesperson says: “Wholee Prime is devoted to offering consumers an innovative platform that does away with the traditional marketing gimmicks and pricing strategies consumers are usually confronted with.”
The continue: “Despite frequent promises of ‘huge discounts’, ‘prices dropped’, ‘clearance sale’ and ‘flash deals’, all too often these gimmicks are just that and end up with consumers paying a higher price and their confidence in retailers degraded. People are sick of it. Consumers want rid of the marketing guff and hidden costs.”
The spokesperson concludes: “Wholee Prime is unique in that it meets this demand. It offers members a fair and transparent model where all they pay is the actual cost of the product and nothing else. It brings a revolution to retail that makes online shopping simple and fun!”
