Amazon tests small business search filter to help focus on SMEs and artisans

As part of its ongoing efforts to support small businesses, Amazon is testing a Small Business Search filter, which will help customers filter their searches to discover products from SMEs and artisans in the Amazon store. The trial will take place across multiple Amazon country sites, including both the UK and the US.

As Amazon tests this feature, any small business brand that meets the Small Business badge criteria and has the badge featured on their products in search or detail pages is eligible to be included in Small Business Search filter results.

Amazon launched the Small Business Badge about a year ago to make it easier than ever for customers to identify products from small business brands and artisans in Amazon’s store. The badge can be found in search results and on detail pages for products from eligible small businesses.

However, to get the badge you need to be registered with Brand Registry or Amazon Handmade. If your business is eligible to be identified as a Small Business in the Amazon store, all products within your registered brands automatically receive the Small Business Badge.
