Amazon tops Kelkoo Shopper’s Choice awards

Kelkoo’s Shopper’s Choice awards saw 4,827 online shoppers voting for their favourite retailers in the areas of electronics, entertainment, fashion, health & beauty, home & garden and sports & fitness.

Shoppers judged the companies on the basis of service levels, value, product range and site design and usability, so they give a good indication of what helps to attract regular browsers, and what keeps them coming back.

Amazon came out as a clear winner, coming top in the electronics, entertainment and sports & fitness categories. eBay.co.uk took gold for fashion and for health & beauty whilst Tesco.com came top for home & garden.

Silver Awards went to Currys (electronics), Play.com (entertainment), John Lewis (fashion, health & beauty), Amazon (for its home & garden operation) and Wiggle (sports & fitness).

Bronze awards went to Ebuyer (electronics), WHSmith (entertainment), Dorothy Perkins (fashion, health & beauty), eBay (for home & garden) and Fitness-Superstore (sports & fitness).

“We’d like to congratulate our winners as well as the thousands of e-tailers who deliver excellent online shopping services every day of the year,” said Kelkoo MD Bruce Fair. “All of our medal winners will be listed on Kelkoo.co.uk and they will be able to display a winner’s crest on their websites until next year’s winners are chosen.”
