Arcadia Group , which runs Topshop , Topman and Miss Selfridge , among others, has joined the growing roster of retailers to integrate Apple Pay on the day of its launch.

Working with Red Ant , which helped develop Arcadia’s transactional apps for those retail brands, Arcadia is now offering Apple Pay as a payment option.

Simon Pritchard, Group Digital Director at Arcadia, explains: “Removing the hassle of filling out forms and payment details is a particular priority for us on mobile. Apple Pay goes a long way towards our goal of creating a frictionless checkout for our apps, and we’re delighted to have had the support of Red Ant in bringing this innovation to market so quickly.”

Dan Hartveld, CTO at Red Ant, adds: “We’re dedicated to using the latest technology to deliver a truly connected retail experience, and we’re very pleased to be working with Arcadia to integrate Apple Pay into apps which already offer a full range of customer-focused features. It gives Arcadia customers what they want from their shopping experience – a mobile service tailored to their needs with built-in flexibility, choice and speed.”
