Asos, Co-op and Deliveroo first speakers at brand new retail media network event

A brand new event looking at retail media networks, from technology trends to untapped opportunities, is coming to London this June with Asos, Co-op and Deliveroo set to present.

In 2022, retail media spending amounted to £2.7bn, and it is projected to reach £25bn by 2026. Considering that this channel is still finding its footing in Europe, it’s no surprise that 82% of advertisers intend to increase their spend this year.

It is therefore the perfect time for RetailX to introduce a brand new one-day conference to help retailers strengthen their media network case; enhance their assets; and make the most of new collaborations as well new working practices.

From building a technology stack to setting up infrastructure, utilising first-party data for monetisation, MediaX explores the experiences of well-established retailers in this space to new entrants and the agencies who are helping make things tick. It uncovers any entry barriers and discusses what advertisers, particularly in the FMCG sector, should consider when making investments.

Dean Harris, head of loyalty rewards & retail media at Co-op; Elton Ollerhead, director – media group at Asos; and Alex Prouhet, global director – commercial at Deliveroo have been announced at the first speakers. While ecommerce software provider Mirakl takes on track sponsorship.

MediaX is the latest event to be introduce by RetailX. It follows the news that Asda, Avon, The Economist, HelloFresh, Kellogs, Look Fabulous Forever, Nespresso, Specsavers and Tate & Lyle are some of the retailers speaking during RetailX’s Spring Festival.

Held on 14 May 2024, at ETC Venues, 133 Houndsditch London, the Spring Festival has four retail-focused conferences under one roof. ConsumerX, DigitalX, SubscriptionX and SustainabilityX will see the retail industry’s brightest minds and most influential figures come together for packed panels and keynote speeches.
