B&Q to unveil “major merchandising redesign”

B&Q is now most of the way through a “major merchandising redesign,” B&Q head of multichannel Jonathon Brown has told delegates to the Retail Week Ecommerce Summit:

He also revealed that the DIY retailer is poised to go live with a product ratings and review service on the site. It is working with social commerce supplier Bazaarvoice and joins a long list of retailers already using its ratings and reviews platform including Argos, Wickes and Kingfisher stablemate Screwfix.

Brown said that the service will allow B&Q to collect feedback to use for product development.

He added that a lot of testing was taking place around content and tools to give customers the confidence to tackle home improvement projects themselves.
