Carrefour launches discount range with dedicated website

Carrefour has launched, a dedicated website to promote its new range of low cost own brand products.

As well as providing product information on each of the 400 items in the Carrefour Discount range, the site provides low cost recipe ideas and explains in detail its quality promise.

“Positioned as an entry-level product line, Carrefour Discount complements the existing portfolio of Carrefour brand products while providing consumers with a direct alternative to hard discount brands,” the retailer says. “Through this new marketing offensive, Carrefour France sets itself off from its competitors and increases its appeal for winning new customers.”

“Carrefour Discount products are sold at very competitive prices without in the least sacrificing the Carrefour brand’s quality standards,” the company adds. “With Carrefour Discount, customers are guaranteed that its products meet the banner’s quality standards. Carrefour Discount products are made by Carrefour-certified suppliers in compliance with precise and rigorous specifications. They contain no GMOs and meet the banner’s tracking requirements. Organoleptic tests are conducted by external panels on Carrefour Discount products to ensure that taste is up to standard.”
