, the high-end Italian boutique which sells over 200 hard-to-find European brands in-store and online, has reported a 20% increase in conversion, a 30% reduction in production costs and a fall in returns of a third after adding Adobe's Scene7's imaging functions to its website.
The retailer sells top name fashions including Gucci , Emporio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana to fashion-conscious consumers in more than 150 countries.
Forzieri is using Adobe Scene7
's Dynamic Imaging and Visual Configurator technologies to provide product zooming, a custom shirt configurator and to save time and reduce costs in web production by implementing dynamic image resizing.
"From my familiarity with other merchandising solutions I can say that none rival the ease-of-implementation of Scene7 and, shortly after the integration, we experienced an immediate lift in conversion," says Andrea Forzieri, CEO and founder of the company. "It is critical to our success to present an interactive site in which our products are featured in the most detail-rich format imaginable, and Scene7 has helped us achieve that."
The retailer credits the product zoom function with lifting conversion on the site between 15% and 20% because shoppers now know exactly what they are buying. This has also led to a drop in the product return rate, which is now 5%, down from 7.5%.
"Being able to zoom in on the inside of a luxury handbag or the stitching on an exquisite wallet is critical to our business because understanding the quality of our merchandise is one of the primary decision-making levers," Forzieri added.
