Hundreds of retail logistics professionals were this morning arriving at London's Hammersmith Novotel for the first eDelivery Conference (EDC 2015). Tomorrow the tenth Internet Retailing Conference (IRC 2015) takes place in the same venue.

Some 370 delegates have so far registered to attend today's EDC 2015, hearing from leaders in retail logistics. Another 300 visitors are registered to attend, while vendors are showing off their services and their latest technologies across 25 stands.

Ahead of IRC 2015 tomorrow, all 500 delegate passes have been snapped up, the lucky winners of our 'tweet for a ticket' competition have been sent their free entry codes, 45 stands are being readied to present some of the latest and cutting edge retail technologies, six free hands-on workshops are being finalised and a host of speakers are polishing their presentations.

There's a packed line-up of speakers at both events. At EDC, the must-catch keynote session started at 9am, featuring a 'three-note' presentation from Shop Direct speakers Sam Barton head of user experience, Colin Watt, director of employee relations and engagement, and Dan Rubel, group strategy and communications director, explaining how they work together across functions to do things better. Delegates can browse the speaker line-up to find out which are their must catch presentations across the three streams, Growth, Fashion and Apparel, and The Non-Stop Sales Cycle.

Delegates to IRC 2015 can take a look at the speakers who are taking part and at the conference streams to find out more and to map out their own must-see presentations. But the one session that all delegates can catch is the plenary session, starting at 9am on October 14. Retail veterans Peter Williams, now chairman of Boohoo.com , Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne of M&S , and Gareth Jones of Shop Direct will all be speaking around the broad theme of directions in retail.

IRC 2015 sponsor and ecommerce platform Demandware is offering delegates the chance to win a Vespa Primavera 50cc – delegates have a one in 500 chance of being the lucky winner. Visit the Demandware stand in the display area to find out more.

Meanwhile, Singapore Post is turning out in force at IRC 2015 to flag up opportunities for retailers who want to trade in the Asia Pacific region. Its chief executive of ecommerce, Marcelo Wesseler will be part of a panel discussion focusing on how ecommerce is redefining the rules of customer engagement, alongside speakers from Jigsaw, Fortnum & Mason and Pets Pyjamas.

SingPost is also co-hosting with Internet Retailing an executive briefing on Models that work - the why and when of achieving results in China and Asia Pacific. "After nearly 200 years of serving Singapore as its national postal service, SingPost has transformed itself through extensive investments in global infrastructure, technology, and expertise into Asia Pacific’s leading provider of ecommerce and logistics solutions," said SingPost marketing director Robert Winkelmann. "Asia-Pacific’s ecommerce space is full of opportunities and a destination for Western brands and retailers. SingPost will continue to enable its clients expand their online business and strengthen their logistics operations in Asia Pacific."

Multichannel retail technology specialist One iota, which is launching its In-store Retail Interactive Screens (IRIS) suite at IRC 2015, is offering the chance to win an app build worth £50k that will help one retailer bridge the gap between in-store and online. Visit One iota at IRC 2015 and drop off your business card to stake your claim.

Damian Hanson, chief executive of One iota said the company was "really excited" to be exhibiting at IRC 2015.

“In the modern world we have the ability to communicate with people across the globe, at any time, – but you can’t beat having a face to face discussion and an exhibition facilitates this," he said.

“The show will enable us to demonstrate some of our products and let delegates try for themselves just how well they can work for their businesses. It gives us the opportunity to draw their attention to products they may not be aware of, that could be of real benefit to them.”
