DMEXCO 2019 – online ticket retailing opens end of June

The planning for DMEXCO, EMEA’s leading tech summit, is well underway:  The Conference and Expo will continue on September 11 & 12 in Cologne, Germany. Adapting to the new era of data, DMEXCO will reveal to visitors and exhibitors the know-how to market their online shops or digitalise point of sales. Delivering on last year’s promise, the 2-day event has merged into 365 days as the community of decision makers continues to grow and is supported by a rich resource centre on the core platform. In July, a new app will be launched into the DMEXCO ecosystem, which can not only be used as a guide and networking app in Cologne but will have functions to drive transactions and guide community users to helpful sources.

‘‘Trust in You” has been identified as a key theme in the industry and chosen as the main motto. DMEXCO recognises trust as a key component of digital business: Online retailers will only be able to succeed if customers trust that their data is safe. Across all digital innovation, we have to trust that the new technologies are beneficial, creating a new speed of scalability in a business, as shown by companies such as Facebook, Instagram or AirBnb, but also are being responsibly and effectively used by employees or members of social network communities. Through this year’s motto, DMEXCO will emphasize the importance of trust in the further development of the digital economy.

Dominik Matyka, Chief Advisor of DMEXCO comments: “I believe the members of the DMEXCO community are aware of their responsibility to society, businesses and individuals. They are committed to equality and discover the benefits of new technologies and how to use them. DMEXCO in Cologne is among one of the places where people are able to do so”.

About 1,000 exhibitors from all over the world are expected, and new exhibitors from About You in online fashion retailing to established brands such as Xandr have already booked their space. With the newly designed concept of the Future Park, well known tech leaders, visionaries and start-ups have over 7,000 square metres of exhibition space to display this year’s digital innovations. Created to drive transactions, DMEXCO’s Expo will host the most influential companies, from specialist solution providers to full-service agencies. Aimed to inspire their audience, DMEXCO is creating an exciting agenda of over 500 speakers. On an international level, Teresa Barreira (Publicis Sapient), Harley Finkelstein (Shopify), Howard Lermann (Yext), Stephen Mai (Boiler Room) or Walker Jacobs (Twitch) will take to some of 9 stages. Over 150 seminars and worklabs provide the opportunity for key decision makers to bring their knowledge up to speed and identify new ways to boost their business. The full programme will be published at the end of July.

Also new in 2019, DMEXCO invites managers of corporate venture capital companies to a half-day conference. Limited, concentrated and with a clear focus on strategic investments, this new format should not only inform and inspire the participants. The focus will also be on networking and actively connecting with the more than 150 national and international DMEXCO start-ups. Tickets will be available as a two-day-pass either with orwithout party, or as a one-day pass on the second day.. Whether it be for learning how to stay ahead in digital marketing, sourcing business partners, inspiration or networking, DMEXCO is the meeting place and community for key players in digital business, marketing, and innovation.
