DPD has joined the SwipBox parcel locker network in Poland.
The addition means that parcels ordered online and fulfilled by DPD can be delivered to and collected from parcel lockers. The SwipBox lockers are located in a range of locations including post offices and retail stores.
The carrier’s Polish arm is the third carrier to join the network in the country, alongside DHL and Poczta Polska.
Michal Czechowski, managing director of SwipBox Poland, said: “The agreement with DPD Poland is another milestone for our parcel locker network in Poland.
“We believe that parcel lockers open to all logistics players on the market provide the ultimate convenience for end users. We see great demand for this type of service in general and are delighted to welcome a leading brand such as DPD to our network in Poland.”
Rafał Nawłoka, CEO of DPD Poland, said: “These automatic parcel machines complement the DPD pickup network and make the DPD last mile service even more flexible.
“We have successfully tested the SwipBox lockers, which increase the efficiency of our collection network and are delighted that they can already be used by the inhabitants of the biggest cities in Poland.”
