Picture of changing shopping habits this Christmas comes into focus
In today's InternetRetailing newsletter, there's yet more compelling evidence that this Christmas, shoppers changed the way they buy.

They bought more online: Sainsbury's says its pre-Christmas online food orders are up by 30%. Black Friday was a key date: the ONS puts a major rise in November retail sales down, at least in part, to the Black Friday effect.

Dixons Carphone, reporting half-year results this week, reinforced the message that shopping habits changed this Christmas.

Looking to the future, Amazon's launch of one-hour delivery in Manhattan this week has spurred predictions that convenient and fast delivery will be key to the UK market in 2015.

Today's guest comment comes from Ronan Cremin of dotMobi, who considers how the use of mobile ads will evolve next year.
